AC Maintenance
Seasonal tune-ups keep your AC efficient, catch small issues early, and help you avoid mid-summer breakdowns when every tech is booked.
What We’ll Do
- Clean and inspect condenser and evaporator coils for better heat transfer
- Check refrigerant, electrical components, drain lines, and safety controls
- Measure temperature split and airflow to confirm the system is performing
- Replace or inspect filters and flag anything that should be fixed before peak season
Common Issues This Covers
- System running longer than usual to reach the set temperature
- Higher summer electric bills without a clear cause
- Weak airflow, musty smells, or a clogged condensate drain
- It’s been a year or more since the last professional tune-up
Frequently Asked Questions
- How often should I get a tune-up?
- Once a year is standard for most homes, ideally before the start of cooling season.
- What’s included in a tune-up?
- We check refrigerant level, electrical connections, coil condition, airflow, and thermostat operation, and flag anything that needs repair.
- Can a tune-up prevent a breakdown?
- It catches most of the small issues that turn into full breakdowns if left alone. It doesn’t guarantee a system won’t fail, especially an older one, but it’s the single best way to reduce the odds.
- Will you try to sell me a new system during a tune-up?
- No. We’ll tell you honestly if your system is entering the age range where replacement starts to make more sense, with real numbers, but a tune-up is a tune-up, not a sales visit.
- Do you tune up heat pumps too?
- Yes, the same tune-up covers AC, furnace, and heat pump systems.
